How it Complements Your Practice

1. The Pre-Pilates Warm Up Use the infrared heat to increase blood flow and muscle elasticity before you hit the carriage. A 15-minute "pre-heat" can help you find a deeper range of motion and prevent injury.

2. The Post-Yoga Deep Melt After a flow, let the infrared waves penetrate deep into your joints and muscles to flush out lactic acid, while the compression boots stimulate lymphatic drainage to reduce "heavy legs."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to stay for the full 50 minutes? Not at all. The 50-minute window is yours to use as you wish. If you feel invigorated and ready to go after 30 minutes, you are welcome to head out whenever suits your schedule.

What should I wear? For the sauna, most members wear swimwear or lightweight gym gear. For the compression boots, you’ll need to wear leggings or long socks (no bare skin) to ensure hygiene and comfort.

Do I need to bring anything? Please bring a large towel to sit on in the sauna and a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Can I use the boots and the sauna in the same session? Yes! You have full private access to both tools. Many members enjoy 30 minutes of heat followed by 15 minutes of compression for the ultimate "legs-up" recovery.

What are the benefits of using a sauna? Some of the benefits include; improved circulation, pain relief, stress reduction, improved immune function, detoxification, weight loss, skin health, improved muscle recovery and performance

What sauna do you use? We use the Nook sauna, due to their safety rating, the materials used for construction, the non-toxic glues and low EMF rating

Safety & Contraindications

While Infrared therapy is incredibly beneficial, it is not appropriate for everyone. Sauna use is not recommended if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Pregnancy: Intense heat is not advised during pregnancy.
  • Heart Conditions: Including unstable angina, recent heart attack, or severe hypertension.
  • Fever or Infection: Heat can exacerbate illness; wait until you are fully recovered.
  • Under the Influence: Do not use the sauna if you have consumed alcohol or drugs.
  • Implanted Devices: Consult your doctor if you have a pacemaker or metal implants.
  • Chronic Conditions: If you have MS, Lupus, or are prone to fainting, please seek medical clearance first.
